Job Description:
Q.E.D. Systems, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual experienced in maintenance, repairs, and operation of HM&E equipment and systems, project execution, project management, and work force supervision. The Project Supervisor reports directly to the Hawaii Area Manager. The Project Supervisor will serve as the lead in support of Ship Alterations, Machinery Alterations, repairs, and modernization of HM&E equipment and systems on Navy surface ships. Must be able to work aboard ships and under industrial repair conditions following all safety regulations. The candidate will also perform ship checks, attend production meetings, provide material identification support, develop and compare alternate schedules, maintain multiple project plans and schedules simultaneously, prepare project status updates, and communicate project status updates to senior management personnel. The candidate will have experience in the accomplishment of ship/craft repairs, alterations, equipment removal and installation. Must be able to determine work priority and supervise skilled tradesmen while ensuring timely completion of all tasks, with requisite quality.
Job Requirements/Skill Sets:
- 10+ years of operating and maintaining HM&E equipment and systems is required
- 5+ years as a project supervisor/lead/foreman is required
- 6+ years of experience working in a trade on Navy ship systems is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Provide solutions when technical, scheduling, and project issues arise
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- In depth knowledge of Quality Assurance principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project

Education Requirements: Individual shall have a high school diploma/GED. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business is desirable.
Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible for and be able to maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance. Must be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
