Job Description:
The candidate will have experience in the accomplishment of ship/craft repairs, alterations, equipment removal and installation. Must be able to determine work priority and supervise skilled tradesmen to assigned tasks to ensure timely completion of all tasks with requisite quality.
The candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Project for creation and modification of the program plan and milestones. The position requires the ability and experience to review work specifications, including engineering drawings, to determine project material and industrial equipment lists to prepare for advance shipment to remote work sites. Candidate shall also have a working knowledge of quality and safety requirements as they apply to Navy Ship Repair and Modification Work.
The candidate must possess excellent communication skills to coordinate with Project Managers and trades personnel to successfully accomplish all work requirements.
Job Requirements/skill sets:
Candidate should have at least six (6) years of experience in marine trades work as a skilled tradesman. Candidate shall also have at least three (3) years of supervisory experience in a trade position supporting repairs and modifications to Naval Ship Systems. The candidate must maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Education:
The candidate must be a high school graduate.
Security Clearance: Candidate will currently possess or be able to obtain a Secret Government Security Clearance.
