Job Title: Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) Coordinator Support

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The candidate provides support for various roles and responsibilities in NMD. The NMD Coordinator Support employee will report to the Operations Project Manager.
JOB DUTIES:
- Develops metrics in support of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
- Performs research, develops and submits template proposals to SURFMEPP MSCMO
- Assist the NMD Coordinator with tasks to support the daily requirements of specification development and availability execution support
Job Requirements/skill sets:
- A thorough understanding of the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual ship repair planning and estimating requirements
- Detailed understanding of U. S. Navy surface ship maintenance and modernization planning processes
- Understanding in the use of the Validation, Screening, and Brokering (VSB) automated information system.
- Must possess excellent communication and writing skills and the ability to resolve conflicts.
- Must have strong customer service orientation and skill set.
- Preferred experience includes planning roles at Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP), Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), Navy Central Planning Activity (NCPA), Planning for Engineering and Repair Activity (PERA), and public or private shipyards at the tradesman or shop level, or experience supervising repair work at a senior enlisted or junior officer level.
- Experience as a Naval Supervising Authority Planner is preferred.
- S. Navy surface ship experience preferred.
- In-depth experience in ship modernization and maintenance practices is strongly desired.
- Experience with use of the Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) is desired.
Education Requirements: Candidate must possess at least an associate degree, with 3 years of additional experience working for senior level management.
Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and/or be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
